CD-ROM Emulator 3.0 Network Edition for Terminal Server

Paragon CD-ROM Emulator 3.0 Network Edition for Terminal Server provides CD Emulation service for Windows Terminal Servers. Every user of Terminal Server working within separate Terminal Session, can have individual virtual CD-ROM drives and use unlimited number of shared CD Image. The number of CD Images that can be shared for Terminal Server users is unlimited (as long free space for CD Images is available). Moreover, Windows Server clients, connected to the Terminal Server just for file access can use shared CD Images to create local virtual CD-ROM drives.

Licensing policy for Network Edition for Terminal Server

While Network Edition for Terminal Server can be installed on the TS and on the Windows clients at the same time, the licensing policy combines "Per Seat" model for clients installation and "per connection" model for Terminal Server sessions.

Example.
Network has 1 Terminal Server (which is also used as file server), 10 PCs connecting to TS as terminals and 5 PCs connecting to Terminal Server to map network drive. 10 terminals are running CD-ROM Emulator in their Terminal Server session. Not more that 5 terminals are working with Terminal Server at the same time. 5 PCs have CD-ROM Emulator installed as client and using network CD Images for their virtual CD-ROM drives.

Licenses required.
For terminals using Terminal Server: 5 sessions maximum is required – number of license for sessions is 5. For CD-ROM Emulator network clients 5 license is required – because it is "per seat" model.

KEY FEATURES

Image properties (including information about tracks included). The centralized CD Image Database. Centralized control for all cd images in network. As soon CD Image is created on the network server it becomes accessible for all clients with installed CD Emualor immediately. Images created by 3.x edition are not compatible with 2.0 edition. V2.0 images work with 3.x edition Set admininstration password during installation (both in user mode and in silent mode). Set options for client during installation (both in user mode and in silent mode).

"Autoinsert" feature: on each startup of operating system all virtual drives will have those images inserted, which were in them upon previous restart/shutdown. Every CD Image can be shared for many users simultaneously . Administrator settings - for example, restrictions for functions accessible on client.
